We had another great weekend in Okoboji at my folks cabin over the weekend. Always so hard to leave this place as it’s been my second home in the Summer months since I was 2 years old. Love that my boys love it as much as I do. We don’t get up there as much as we used to since my boys have started playing sports and all games are usually on the weekends; but when we do get up there, we have a great time and make some awesome Summertime memories.

The boys did a lot of swimming and wave runner rides with Dad this time up there. We also took them to play mini golf for the first time at Pirate’s Cove Mini Golf down by Arnold’s Park. They loved it and so did Brent & I! I haven’t played mini golf in years, so to share this fun time with my boys was super fun. They can’t wait until we go again! (and I can’t wait to play again either!)

My folks are always so great with my boys and us when we are up there too. Always make us feel so welcomed and buy groceries and just make sure they have plenty of snacks and goodies for all of us upon arrival. One of the first things my boys do when we arrive is go find the candy dish! Love that they can share these Summer moments at the cabin with the boys and us. Until next time…Boji! xoxo

These two.

I just received our flag football team (yes, football already) information as far as who the coach is and the team roster. So crazy seeing both of their names on there and both on the same team! This will be Brock’s 2nd year and Blake’s 1st! The year’s are just flying by.

They do fight a lot and get on each other’s nerves and are always competing with one another but deep down they are best buds and really do love each other. I hope they remain close forever and I can’t wait to watch them go through school together and play on the same teams!

I made them take a few pics the other night and of course they both wanted to wear their Louisville Lions baseball hats for a few!

The school year is just around the corner. We are less than a month away and school supplies have been bought and appointments have been made for shots and eye checks and all of that good stuff. So hard to believe we are even talking about all of this already. The Summer months just go by so quickly and before we know it..FALL! I’m not quite ready to hear that word yet as I feel like we haven’t really had much of a Summer since the whole month of June was baseball and now already talking about football. So, we are going to make the most of the Summer days we have left by going to Okoboji to stay at my folks cabin a few more times this year, county fairs, sleep overs with Grandparents, Birthday parties and lots of swimming and outdoor play. Go out and enjoy the rest of your Summer and don’t forget to snap some photos of your kids…and YOU!
